What, why and me

This blog is all about CPUs and their performance. So I would like to show the real performance of tested CPUs – objective results. Because  I am not payed by anyone on this planet. So hope it will help you, if you don’t know what to choose…

But I have to mention that this tests are actually sponsored by the best shop in our country Slovenia: www.sestavi.si . Without them I will not be able to test all 3 proceosors (Intel i5 3570K, AMD FX-8120 and AMD FX-8320).

Thank you again sestavi.si! I wish you all the best in year 2013 and I hope we will cooperate again.

If you like my work, buy me a coffee!

SOMETHING ABOUT ME!

I am quiet young Enthusiast overclocker (so I overclock only with air cooling) from Slovenia . And I am a student of Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in Maribor.

My interested for hardware started back in summer of year 2008. In year 2008 I was just looking and following our forums that are connected with hardware. And I joined one of them on 28th of Avgust 2009. My next step was to join in overclock team. So I did it and now I am a part of the best overclocking team in Slovenia named “OC-Lab” – you can find us on hwbot.

MY HARDWARE History:

CPUs: Intel Pentium 1, Intel Pentium 2, Intel Pentium 4, AMD Phenom X6 1090T, Intel i5 2500K, Intel i5 3570K (2 examples), AMD FX-8120, AMD FX-8320

GPUs: ATI Radeon 9800 pro 128MB, Nvidia GeForce 6200 256MB, AMD Radeon 6870 1GB (2 examples – one was reference from SAPPHIRE, one from XFX), AMD Radeon 7850 2GB (3 examples – all from SAPPHIRE)

MY “ACHIEVEMENTS”:

– #1 memory speed of 7850 in 3DMark11 (1566MHz = effective 6264MHz), from all hwbot submissions until 17th of January

– #1 memory speed of 7850 in 3DMark Vantage (1537MHz = effective 6148MHz), from all hwbot submissions until 17th of January 2013

– #1 wPrime 32M with FX-8320 (6sec 848ms), from all hwbot submissions until 18th of January counting only Air/Stock cooling (others are not in same league)

– #1 wPrime 1024M with FX-8320 (215sec 951ms), from all hwbot submissions until 18th of January counting only Air/Stock cooling (others are not in same league)

– #1 SuperPi 32M with FX-8320 (19 min 32sec 248ms), from all hwbot submissions until 18th of January counting only Air/Stock cooling (others are not in same league)
